There was a time in the Old Testament when the prophets of the Lord thrived. Israel’s kings still persecuted them and the people didn’t always listen, but the Lord blessed this period in history with a degree of “success” through the powerful working of his Word.
This Golden Age of the Prophets is recorded for us in 1 Kings 17 through 2 Kings 6. And the two main heroes in these stories are Elijah and Elisha.
