Reformation Celebration

October 28, 2018 @ 9:00 am1:00 pm

At the end of October every year, we praise our God in remembrance of the beginning of the Reformation.

The Reformation of the Church is a period of time in 16th century Germany when God drew people back to his truth through the powerful Word of God.  Martin Luther was the key player of this “movement,” but he certainly isn’t the focus of our attention or our celebration.  The Lord is.  What Jesus has done and how he continues to proclaim that message to us is the reason why we gather together every Sunday and honor his name in every way we can.

To make the most of this Reformation Sunday (this year it’s on 10/28/18), we will have a meal after Bible Study / Bible Roots that features food from Germany and the surrounding areas.  Feel free to bring a dish to share or just show up to eat.

We will also be having Reformation-themed door prizes, trivia, and music – all starting around 11:45am.  Don’t miss this crowd-favorite event and bring your friends and family members along with you!
